Step 1: Skin Tone
You will be asked to identify your skin tone across six options: Fair, Light, Medium, Olive, Tan, or Deep. If you are unsure, look at your forearm in natural daylight - not artificial light, which distorts tone readings. Choose the tone that most closely matches the inside of your wrist.
Step 2: Undertone
This is the step most people get wrong in-store. Undertone is separate from skin tone - it is the subtle hue beneath the surface: cool (pink/blue), warm (yellow/golden), or neutral (both equally).
